| Name: John Wikus Age: 40 Gender: Male Physical appearance: John is a bipedal sentient being with a structure that bears a strong resemblance to arthropods. He has exoskeletons and a more insect-like build, possessing clawed mandibles, antennae, and segmented exoskeleton plating. He also possesses another pair of arms which resides around the abdominal area, usually using them when he doesn't use his main arms, or the task is too dexterous, such as writing quickly. He is larger than the average human, standing at about 7 feet tall and weighs more than an average human, being 400 lbs in weight. | Spoiler: | | | |

Clothing of choice: Normally, the only thing that Christopher wears is a lab coat, if not, he usually wears nothing at all, seeing it as no point with his body type. Though he does keeps some rags over certain places in order to show he at least has some modesty.
Skills: One of TriCell Pharmaceutical Company's scientists that was working on the Progenitor Virus, John has hidden knowledge about the Virus and all of its products, which he utilizes when he attempts to find a cure. He retains most of his general intelligence, having knowledge of a chemical engineer, genetic scientist and biologist, like other members of the African Team. He lacks the ability to speak in human language, which lead to the development of a device that translates his speech and his body is completely changed into an entirely different organism.
Because of the Uroboros and Progenitor Virus, John's body was transformed into an entirely different organism, similar to an insect. His transformation was resulted by mixed results from the mutating process, though the virus did succeed in transforming him into something superior, it ended up making him completely non-human. The Progenitor Virus was added with DNA from several insects, the scientists seeing it as a way to enhance the virus, the result created a powerful virus for one time use, due to the virus completely fusing and enhancing John.
Due to his transformation, John's body is capable of incredible physical feats. As one would expect from an insect like being, John has an exoskeleton that completely protects him from harm, mainly from melee weapons, regular bullets, blunt impacts and certain forms of explosives. Sufficient Armor piercing bullets are required to break into the armored exoskeleton in order to reach the insides and a RPG would do wonders in killing him instantly. Like the Reaper, John gains an accelerated healing factor which allows him to regrow lost limbs, even his head. He is also immune to disease due to his mutation, and he has resistant to anti-viruses, for none are developed to cope against his particular strain and he retains powerful antibodies to the Progenitor. Once again like a Reaper, John can produce noxious gas that creates blur effect that acts as a simple but effective form of cloak. Though when he unleashes them, he reveals a sac that is vital to his survival, the gas only remains for a short period of time so the sac must remain out in the open for the gas to be effective. He is also capable of releasing blobs of an unknown substance which burn human flesh if it makes prolonged contact and eventually becomes an adhesive and producing a paralytic sleeping gas, both coming from his mouth. His antennae work to sense things that his other senses usually won't being able to detect the presence of others in his general vicinity. His mandibles are capable of ripping through tougher materials such as leather and some metal with ease, giving him a powerful bite. His fingers are tough with their grip and ended with claws that can rip through sheets of metal.
He gains incredible physical strength, able to rip a man's arm out of the socket, lifting a man in the air with ease. His leg power allows for powerful jumps and kicks that can send men several yards away, these abilities stem from insects, to a substantially lower degree however. His senses are increased to higher levels than humans and his sense of pain is reduced. He also is capable of wall climbing like many insects and has enhanced reflexes which are somewhat cat like. His fatigue toxins are reduced which allows incredible stamina. Like a cockroach, he can hold his breath over a long period of time, and his body can survive without his head, though it would be able to move, it can't do anything advanced without the brain. Unlike insects, more derived from a crab or prawn, John can breath underwater as well.
Though having great physical abilities, he is far from invincible. Something that can produce constant and intense heat such as a flamethrower or a incinerator can kill him, though things such as incendiary grenades have little effect on him. Completely obliterating his body will kill him (obviously). The sac in the middle of his abdomen, which is incredibly protected by an even harder exoskeleton layer underneath it which stops even armor piercing bullets, the sac is vital to his survival, acting as his "heart" and produces the cloaking gas by pulling back the exoskeleton over it. If the organ were to take significant damage, John's body would shut down, making him easy to finish off and if the organ were to be removed from his body, he would die. In addition, a significant electric shock (one created by a transformer or shock grenade) would cause his weak point to forcefully reveal itself. Things like insecticides also cause him great discomfort and high concentrations can give him asthmatic attacks.
In addition to all the pros and cons, John has a very strange eating diet. He has a strange taste for rubber, being described as like a marshmallow to him. He also has another strange affinity for cat food, being one of his favorite meals. He is capable of eating anything, but is mainly carnivorous, eating raw meat and the like. He also goes through molting stages like some insects, which leave him vulnerable and weak when he is growing a new exoskeleton.
Affiliation: Umbrella
Rank: Scientist (Don't remember the ranking for a scientist)
Personality: A man of intellect, John rarely ever fights in any way, shape, or form. He prefers to find an intelligent solution to the problem rather than a violent one. He wishes for his humanity back, but has little hope on the matter, deciding to live his life as he is now. He strives to cure other from the virus, those who are capable of being cured, unlike himself. He detests Albert Wesker and those of TriCell Pharmaceutical, for being those who turned him into a monster. He is dedicated and hardworking, spending most of his time trying to find the cure for all the horrible creations of Umbrella. Though with his new form, he is prone to anger if he is stressed or is pushed too far. He isn't particularly sensitive about his appearance, but cares enough to be affected by insults, showing he is still human. He struggles to connect with humans seeing his new body, but continues to attempt for the sake of his work.
Biography:
| Spoiler: | | | Originally a member of the TriCell Pharmaceutical Company's African Division that was sent to find and study the development of the Progenitor Virus and the development of Uroboros, John served as a scientist that experimented with the virus on animals and humans alike for several years. He served as a good, hard working employee until his last days with TriCell, where his true adventure would begin.
While working on other applications for the Progenitor Virus, John's colleagues decided to work against him, seeing him as a threat on their payrolls. They developed a chaotic mix of arthropod DNA, varying in DNA types and combined it with the Progenitor Virus, creating a mix they thought would surely kill him. Albert Wesker knew of the operation and saw it as a viable test, inviting John to dinner, ironically prawn was amongst the dishes served.
While he was eating, Wesker told John that his contract was terminated, and he was injected with the virus. John in a desperate attempt to save himself, took a highly concentrated dose of anti-bodies and injected himself with it. John went through multiple seizures and eventually collapsed from shock, assumed to be dead. Wesker took this result as a failure and dumped John with the rest of the biological waste. John's body was dumped with the rest of the failures and awaited destruction.
However, while being transported with the waste, John's body began to transform into something unexpected. The Progenitor Virus mixed with the antibodies destroyed most of his human DNA and replaced it with those of arthropods. He molted his old body and emerged the being he is today. He escaped without notice through the sewage systems, and traveled long distances to the Americas, hiding in Central America, where he was considered to be the Chupacabra. He finally gained the resolve to join the new Umbrella and contacted them, saying that he was a rare survivor and he had knowledge of the T-Virus and its predecessors. |
RP sample:
| Spoiler: | | | John walked down the aisle towards his lab at the Umbrella base in Rockfort Island. He looked down at his clipboard as he began to study the results of his testing. Most of his anti-virus attempts produced little results, most of the subjects were unaffected. Some of the rarer cases seemed to have gotten slightly reduced aggression and hunger levels, calming down substantially, John took note of this and continued his survey. He walked over to the last subject and noticed that the subject seemed to return back to basic behavior. John looked at the specimen frantically, and saw that it was in fact going good.
"This is very interesting, you seem to be going well" John said to himself as he continued to observe the specimen, though he was talking out loud, barely anyone would be unable to understand him. He didn't speak human, and his clicks and buzzes were nearly unintelligible. John looked at the specimen one last time and tapped his pen against the glass. "Keep up the good work"
John walked back to the samples cabinet and picked out the numbers that seemed to be effective and placed them in the "potentials" rack, while taking the ones that did nothing and placed them in the "failures" rack. John thought to himself if it was possible that one of these anti-viruses would work on him. He took out the sample that seemed to have the most successful and placed a dose into a syringe. He injected himself and waited to see any results, then sighed when he realized that it didn't work.
"Well it was worth a shot" John said to himself as he closed the cabinet and left the different racks of samples on the movement desk. It was almost time for his staff to return from break, and they would need to work more on the anti-virus in order to cure the millions of people that suffered from it. |
